Hello, this is me, Teodora. Thank you for stopping by.

I wonder, do you have a photograph of yourself that when you look at it, you feel that you’ve been seen for who you are; you see in it your uniqueness, your strength, your BEAUTY? Not the beauty as a product of fashion or a magazine cover, but the beauty that shines from your heart and tells about your soul, the beauty that gives you a sense of identity and joy, the BEAUTY that is one of our innermost human properties.

There is a meaningful story in all of us that deserves to be revealed. My wish is to mirror back to you the light of your heart. I won't just take your picture, I'll help you tell your story. I invite you to an experience of expressing yourself authentically and be truly celebrated by an artist who cares…deeply. My promise to you is that it will change the way you see and feel about yourself.

Some Personal Info and Thoughts

Living and working out of Cary, NC with a Bulgarian nationality and a strong (still) European accent. My name is of a Greek origin and it means “ Gift of God.” I’m a mom to a strong-willed and amazing girl and a wife to my loving and extremely patient husband and best friend of 20 years.

This photo captures me, us. The way I look at her, the way she is in my arms. The way the wind blows my hair and hers. I am never going to be without her. I am a mother now and this has awakened me to experiences and ways of feeling and being that I wouldn't have had otherwise. This is my journey of BECOMING wiser, of letting go of certain beliefs and allowing myself to feel free and joyous. BE-COMING, coming home to my authentic self, learning to love and accept the changes, internal and external; learning to forgive myself and be patient with life’s ways. My wish is to keep my heart and mind open for what comes. I am here to remember how to enjoy what's right in front of me in each moment. SHE teaches me that skill.

I don't believe in "the better version of yourself " concept. We are our best and our worst at any given moment in time. Only when we are seen, heard and valued/accepted for who we are, as we are, this is when we are at our best.

Instead of "better version of myself", I’d rather go for "an accepting, self-loving version of myself. " The first kind remains elusive because of the constant striving for better and better, since " simply good" is not enough, it has to be "better"… But the catch is that there is always a next level of better...and on it goes with the belief system of “not enough.”

I want to celebrate the ENOUGH-NESS of us. I myself am learning too how to be/ feel enough. It is a journey. And if my work with women has shown me one thing, it’s this: we all long to be seen, heard and accepted as we are, however we are. The acceptance starts within us. You are, I am, we are enough. I invite you to join me on this journey to inner transformation. Let me show you your inner beauty the way you may haven't seen before. It's liberating and empowering.

Why I Do What I Do

JillianClark_photo4.jpg

Photographing people makes me alive, it fills my heart. It’s a vital part of my life and story, it gives me the opportunity to discover and nurture meaningful and authentic connections.

Working with real women of all ages and stages of life, inspiring them to see themselves as they are, for who they are and loving it-this is one of my deepest desires.

Black and White photography is my passion! It's timeless, powerful, soulful. "As paradoxical as it may sound, to me, B&W is often more authentic than color. Portraits in particular appear stronger by the reduction of color." Peter Lindbergh

Being a strong believer in authenticity, LESS IS MORE is my philosophy behind the minimal retouching and clean backgrounds in my work.

If your curiosity has been sparked, I can’t wait to meet you!
